What path am I going to take?
As I am working on counterfeit cosmetics on social media and how these affect people in the UK I want to focus on the celebrities and how these have an effect on our behaviour as well as how they are sponsored by brands that create ‘dupes’.
I would be interested to also focus on the side effects, such as allergies and health issues that come up after having used fake cosmetics sold online.
In order to make my research more clear and meticulous I would like to create a fake instagram profile in order to then contact a celebrity understanding if they are willing to sell ‘dupes’ on social media platforms.
Moreover, I would also like to focus on the criminality behind counterfeits; where are they coming from? who produces them? how are social media platforms allowing this?
What truly catches my eye is how real brands think of these products, if they are concerned and if they have implemented an measures
